All floor surfaces must be clean, permanently dry, even and free of cracks. They must be stable to tensile and compressive forces. It is essential to provide effective damp proofing where there is a risk of rising damp or condensation.
Floors should be screeded or sealed where necessary.
Floor surfaces such as Asphalt, Anhydrite and Magnesia Cement plasters, must be screeded to at least 2mm thickness.
The underlays are not recommended for use on a wood block floor, unless the sub-floor is able to breathe.
(Wood block is not to be confused with laminate flooring).
